Chinese Character stroke order 常用國字標準字體筆順學習網

I was looking for how to write 龜. This is a traditional Chinese character for tortoise. Writing Chinese characters are not simply drawing the strokes, but to write the strokes correctly, and in order. It is quite sad for me, the introduction of simplified Chinese characters to the world. It was beneficial for me, when I was kid, when I have to do homework and write a lot. Now, looking back at it, and for what I am now, I feel ashamed that I can't write most traditional Chinese characters, or to write them well. If I were an archaeologist, or historian, that would be even worse. I am wondering, when I can close the gap. Alright, forget about my mumbling. Here's the link to this site : http://stroke-order.learningweb.moe.edu.tw/character.do Key in the character that you want to know the stroke order. Then click on the 開始查詢 button. :D Example result like what I did : You can listen to how the character is pronounced, and also control the speed of the stroke writing dem...

Calm.com

Almost a year since my last post. Anyway.... Got to know about this website from my colleague. I love the music and the animated background pictures. It's so soothing. I tried the 2 minutes guided calm in the office. I guess that's the longest luxury I can have in the office to go through an uninterrupted guided calm session. :) At times, I'll just play the music from this website and keep it looping. I just want to calm down the uncontrollable, hyper-active mood swing. Try this, if you have a hectic day. http://www.calm.com

Hexadecimal Decimal Binary and Octal Converter

I was in the midst of converting "manually" from hexa to binary, regroup the binaries, and convert it to decimal, then check on the Base64 index table to get the "characters" for some comparison to prepare this post . I found this website. http://calc.50x.eu/ Thanks to this web site, it can directly convert from any base of number to the other base. I can save my brain power in this. :D

Longzijun's free background music

It has been long long time since my last update to this blog, it's almost 10 months! Anyway... My video post to Facebook failed recently due to the video was using a copyrighted audio background, we used someone's song as the background music. So, to enable the upload, I tried to Google for free background music. My last choice would be using GarageBand's free loops. The return results was cool! There was a website that I can generate an mp3 with the length of music that I want, but... yeah, there's always a but. I was excited by the claim on the homepage. ...provides royalty free background music for any type of multimedia project... But as I tried it, it's not really as what stated in the homepage. So, I used GarageBand's free loops instead. Anyway, come across this website just now. The music provided here are FREE! The terms of usage is cool! If you are making $$ from your work that uses his music, you are request to donate a small part of the $$ ...

HTML5Test

Have you heard of HTML5? Responsive web design? Fluid design? I remember I saw TT shared something about HTML5 on Facebook. And I just got to now these 2 terms, responsive web design and fluid design recently. Gosh! I just checked this blog, and found out this post was half-way done since months! Never realize this until I ask myself again, did I share this website before?! So, the "recently" in the first paragraph, happened last year, probably in October. Recently, I mean last week as from now. Recently, me and HN was playing with HTML5 and JavaScript to write a web-based game for a puzzle that I encountered last July, in JB. Found this website for quite sometimes, this is a really cool website to check how well your browser supports HTML5. We started writing the game, however, the tags that we are using, so far only supported in Chrome. I am still not sure which "advance" feature(s) that we used in our code that supported only by Chrome. Anyway, so far as I ...

Time and Date

So long. I have not been updating this blog. Wanted to share this website since months ago. Finally, I found the mood to do this now. :P Found this web site from my current company's internal site. I was fascinated by the capability of this site. Of course, it's due to nothing but the list of public holidays. :P You can select the previous year, or current year, or even future year for any country (I didn't go through the list of countries), and get the calendar with public holidays information! I am not sure if it is really accurate, as I just checked out the CNY for 2014, it happened that the first day of CNY falls on 31th Jan, but the second day is 3rd Feb. :P Probably it's the replacement holiday! (Wow! It comes with AI feature?!) Other than that, you can select options, the design of the generated calendar. And it's free! It has not only calendars, but also the time information around the world, time zones, and also weather around the world. You can ge...
